Football was being killed in my hometown. But he still survived
Kirzhach – a city on the border of the Vladimir region with a population of about 30 thousand people. In the summer it is filled with Moscow summer residents, and the rest of the time this place lives a quiet and measured life. At the district and regional championships, football players from Kirzhach sometimes give out something good, but they do not make it any further. Below is a story about amateur football that ordinary teens tried to save.
There is no professional football in Kirzhach. Championships of the region and the region – the ceiling for all who know how to do something with the ball. Stadiums are maintained in good condition, but often only mothers with children walk on them. Coaches-activists carry children to football tournaments from football sections. They are few, and none of the players still make their way somewhere higher. One of the guys tried out for a large-scale view at CSKA – I didn’t get to the final list. That phrase is like the image of all Atalanta fans. Milan with two superclubs is located very close to Bergamo, and some tifozy “Rossoneri” and “Inter” mockingly call Bergamo a suburb. But even in such conditions, “Atalanta” fights and defends its identity.
In 2002, in the next issue of Futbol magazine, there was material about the new season of the Italian Championship, and the first team in alphabetical order was Atalanta. Beautiful name, aesthetic coat of arms, favorite black and blue colors – life seemed to lead me to the “Goddess”. Offside: how football players get into political scandals
In the match against the Czech Republic, the players of the Ukrainian national football team came out in a game form, which depicts the inscription “Glory to Ukraine!”. This step immediately caused a negative reaction from Russia – the local football union complained about this to FIFA and UEFA. This is not the only case of political scandals in football. Ukrainian footballers were accused of politicizing the game. The Ukrainian national football team in a match on September 6 won the Czech team in the first round of a new tournament of European teams, the League of Nations.
