Is it time to go out?

Transfers have been an integral part of football since its inception. At first they are chaotic, now they follow clearly defined rules. Every year, the players are becoming more expensive, but the “Bosman rule” continues to exist, which means that any player retains the right to go to any other club after the end of the contract without any penalty.
The first known footballer who took advantage of the new right was the Dutch midfielder Edgar Davids, who switched to Milan. Since then, such legends as Michael Ballack, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Raul and Gianluigi Buffon have changed their residence for free. Continue reading →
