The loud statements that the Russian national team reached a new level after the World Cup died down – everything gradually returns to its roots, replete with hopelessness, humiliation and rolling the ball. Cherchesov still stubbornly ignores Chalov and Karavaev, causing dubious personalities in the person of Neustedter and Ari, and fans put to sleep by the fantastic World Cup awaken from their sleep and begin to do their favorite work again – throw stones at the national garden.
Breeding in the national team at zero, because citizenship is scattered right and left, they don’t really call up ready-made players, and then at press conferences they don’t know what to say. In the light of the recent (and far from the first) failures of the national team, we are compiling a list of players who were far from their historical homeland, but could really help in the New Year. So many goals in the World Cup finals have not been scored since 1966, but then it took extra time. In general, only once in the entire history of the championship did more were scored in the final: in 1958, Brazil defeated Sweden with a score of 5: 2. And yet – in the final of 2018 alone there are more goals scored than in all previous finals that took place in this century!
2. The record of the world championships in the number of games from the start without zero draws has been broken. Previously, it was equal to 26 matches, now it has grown to 36. Football was being killed in my hometown. But he still survived
Kirzhach – a city on the border of the Vladimir region with a population of about 30 thousand people. In the summer it is filled with Moscow summer residents, and the rest of the time this place lives a quiet and measured life. At the district and regional championships, football players from Kirzhach sometimes give out something good, but they do not make it any further. Below is a story about amateur football that ordinary teens tried to save.
There is no professional football in Kirzhach. Championships of the region and the region – the ceiling for all who know how to do something with the ball. Stadiums are maintained in good condition, but often only mothers with children walk on them. Coaches-activists carry children to football tournaments from football sections. They are few, and none of the players still make their way somewhere higher. One of the guys tried out for a large-scale view at CSKA – I didn’t get to the final list.
